High Level Assistant or Beginning Associate Professor at UCLA

The UCLA Medical Imaging Informatics Program is seeking a qualified candidate at the tenured, beginning level Associate Professor with training and expertise in computer science, informatics and visualization of medical image data with focused research in modeling, particularly causal modeling, problem-centric visualization and data reduction in medical decision making.

Standards related to both data access and content must also be an important aspect of the research interests. The candidate is expected to teach in already approved courses in the medical imaging informatics track as part of the Biomedical Engineering interdepartmental program, specifically computer programming beginning, intermediate and advanced, visualization of medical data, medical data modeling including probabilistic models, information infrastructure and networking.

The candidate will have an opportunity for joint appointments in the Department of Bioengineering, Henry Samueli School of Engineering and Applied Sciences and the Department of Radiological Sciences, David Geffen School of Medicine, and be part of the UCLA Biomedical Informatics Center. The candidate must have the ability to work synergistically with arms of medical imaging informatics (text structuring, image structuring, visualization and probabilistic modeling).

Qualified candidates should promptly send a curriculum vitae and inquiries to
